The California Building

Along with the Botanical Garden that I posted on Tuesday, this building was built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. It is called the California Building and it houses the Museum of Man, an anthropological museum in Balboa Park. Here's more about its history. And here's another view of this building from the Zoo.

this looks mnore like a church than a museum - it would be interesting to see how the inside looks like but I guess ur not allowed to do that - well, u could and it would be risky and fun, but u might get in trouble and get arrested and thrown into the slammer so I guess this outside pic will suffice.

Kala - I didn't even go inside the museum, so I don't know what their photo policy is. Sometimes I've been surprised when a museum allows photos. Photography is an adventure!

I once photographed inside a museum and just kept snapping away and snapping away and no one said anything - it was at the smithsonian in Washington DC - where they have the Hope Diamond
