Polar bear

Some days at the Zoo I only see animals sleeping far back in the shade of their enclosure or not at all. This day was a good Zoo day with lots of animal sightings. The building in the background is the Museum of Man in Balboa Park.

We used to have zoo passes and occasionally the polar bears would be very active and playful. Usually, however, they were snoozing!

I've got my tickets for the SD Zoo this weekend. I hope I get a lot of animal sightings as you did.

Thanks everyone! Click here to find out more about the building in the background and Balboa Park. RickEmmanuel - I think mornings are the best time to visit the zoo and it is less crowded. You'll have to visit Balboa Park too, it is right next door to the zoo and great for strolling, has interesting architecture, and lots of museums.
