One room school house

Built in 1883 this one room school house is the oldest building in Encinitas. Over the years the structure got moved around a few times until the Encinitas Historical Society rallied to save it, had it restored, and is now the home of the Society. The school sits on property that is part of a closed elementary school owned by the school district and it is uncertain what will become of the place. Read more here.
