Back to school

The Francis Parker (lower) School was the first of several elementary schools in the city designed by William Templeton Johnson. He also designed these elementary schools: La Jolla, Muir, Jackson, Linda Vista, Bandini, and Fremont. And the music rooms at Roosevelt and Wilson junior high schools. Johnson designed several buildings in San Diego - click here to see another and here for a full list.

Very beautiful. Most of the elementary schools in our area look like they were designed by a one-armed monkey.

THe irony of this post is that the Picture is ill fiting of the blurb. This is an image of the newly remodeled gate, an element of design that does not beong to William Templeton Johnson.
