Mountain pass to the desert

Head out on 8 East and take the 79, pass Cuyamaca Lake, through the town of Julian, and you'll be at the top of these mountains overlooking the desert floor of Anza Borrego. From San Diego, it's about 1 hour to get to Julian, then another hour to get to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Over the next few days I'm going to show you what we saw.
