Did you know that the city of Encinitas (a little bit north of San Diego) is practically the capital of poinsettias? The Paul Ecke Ranch in Encinitas worked hard campaigning the plant as a holiday flower and today they claim to supply about 70% of the flowering plants in the US and about 50% worldwide. That's a lot of poinsettias.
