The little engine that could

This steam locomotive, named Engine #3, started out hauling rocks when it was built in 1907. Since then it changed hands a few times before it was acquired by the city of Poway for Old Poway Park in 1987. It was restored by volunteers and now makes short trips hauling happy passengers around the Poway Midland Railroad track.

My son would just love this place! As would our entire family...but he would especially! I have really enjoyed this series on Old Poway Park!

This picture brought a smile to my face. There is nothing like a locomotive puffing steam!
