The day we went to Old Poway Park there were blacksmithing demonstrations. This guy was hammering out dragon faces from a metal rod.

The day we went to Old Poway Park there were blacksmithing demonstrations. This guy was hammering out dragon faces from a metal rod.

I hope you will go back with your & Alexandra's kids. Most young people have no idea that things are made; I'm not kidding. If you can, visit factories, wineries, soda bottling plants etc. Taylor Guitars has tours; Buck Knives used to, but they moved to Idaho.

Thanks for the tip on Taylor Guitars, maybe I'll take the tour some day. I looked them up, they are in El Cajon and they give free tours, M-F at 1pm. Here's their webpage: Taylor Guitars
