Burlingame house #4
This is the last house I'll show you from the Burlingame tract. This house on San Marcos was considered so avant-garde for its time that it was unsold and was occupied as a rental property for 8 years before it sold. Click here to see an old photo of this house and others from the tract.

Thanks for the tour Felicia. These are impressive houses.
Felicia, it's a very nice series. In the last home especially, even with th old and new photos, I find it hard to imagine how the rooms inside fit together. The main chimney to the living room, I suppose. On the McFadden-Buxton map [in the linked ref] they show Ray street, but not Thirtieth; was 30th driven through afterwards ? It should be right there at the edge of "Westend". And Boundary should be the East edge of North Park. The tides of time go in and out an some of the streets are missing.
¿Who now remembers Otswego Dr?
Richard(SAN)
Thanks Wayne and Richard. Yeah, I sure would like to go on a home tour in this area. I was especially impressed with the huge cactus in the right of the photo. If the outside of the houses are any indication of the changes over the last 96 years, you've got to wonder about the insides of these houses. Where is Otswego Drive?!
Really enjoyed your photos of the homes in the Burlingame tract. I love San Diego!
