It's a bird, it's a plane...
Well, I thought it was a bird but it is actually a concrete "structural gazebo" on Shelter Island called "Pacific Portal". It was built in 2006 by local artist James Hubbell to replace a wooden gazebo that stood at the spot for 27 years.
Hubbell is mind-bendingly creative. Some years ago, I took the opportunity to tour his home / workshop near Julian. Unfortunately, I believe most of his structures burned in our recent fires....
I like it better full screen. (How did you train th gull ?) My eye bounces back and forth, from detail to full image. This is a good photo. Richard(SAN)
