No more steam

Okay, well the Reuben E. Lee never really had steam in the first place. It doesn't have an engine and was used solely as a restaurant which closed in 2003. Anyone know the status of what the owners, Sun Road Enterprises, plans to do with the boat?

There was an article about it in San Diego Business News maybe 2 months ago. It's going to be restored as a brand new restaurant.

Don't they have to chop 20' or so off the top of it?! (San Diego joke)

That is funny JPH! I think it is going to cost a pretty penny to restore the restaurant.

That was my moms favorite restaurant! I didn't know it had closed, but then I left in 2001!
