It's Cassis time
What's your favorite warm weather drink? Let's take a break for a drink courtesy of Expat: When the hot weather comes we think of cassis -- the french word for "blackcurrant", the liqueur made from it, and also a divine little fishing port/resort just East of Marseille.
A glass of dry white wine and a teaspoon of cassis liqueur makes the classic summer apéritif known as kir. Since the amount of cassis needed is so small, one of those $22 bottles of L'Héritier-Guyot generally lasts us all summer. In fact, when the heat first came upon us this year we discovered enough cassis left over from last year to get us started.

It has to be ginger beer for me. The more the bite the better!
