Italian sunshine at Lib-Sta
This meal from Expat makes me happy as a clam!
Tireless in our search for fine food & fun, we checked out Solare in the heart of Liberty Station last weekend. It's quite a swanky place, with several seating areas including one highly romantic table-for-two right inside the wine store. For some reason, we were seated in the "Mafia Room" (that's my nickname, not an official name, so don't go blurting it out), with personal control of the lighting and background music (our chosen setting for music: OFF). The two dishes in the pix are:
Seafood bisque with Sardinia-style semoule pasta and squid ink (on the permanent menu)
Clams with polenta (daily special)
We loved the Albarinho (visible in the pic below).
