Ssssssss!

If some of you have closed your eyes at this point, sorry! This is the smiling albino python at the San Diego Zoo. The longest and heaviest python can get up to 33 feet and 250 lbs! If you don't get creeped out by the sight of snakes, then the Reptile House is a cool place to see vipers, rattlesnakes, anacondas, lizards, turtles, and other creepy crawlies.

How old is that snake? I'm sure I've seen him before, lol. We always had zoo and Sea World year passes so spent alot of time there and I did like to venture around the reptile house. The snakes are so fascinating behind glass, lol.

Remind me to wear my glasses when clicking on the thumbnail in future. I thought it was an interesting angle to photograph a steer's horn!

Snakes are the hardest thing in the world to photograph I reckon, congratulations on finding one that was awake!

The Everglades are full of these snakes and their close relatives. People buy them when the snakes are small. Then when the snake is too large it is dropped off in the woods, and the closest woods are the Everglades. Our local paper printed a picture of a python that died trying to swallow an alligator (the alligator was also dead).

Tog, I heard about that, last year, right AFTER we returned home from the Everglades, lol. I'm kind of happy I didn't know till we got home or I'd have never left our camper lol.
I've heard it's a huge problem though. How irresponsible of people.
