It's the Tops

Do you see the resemblance to artist Patrick Nagel's paintings that characterized 1980's art? I'm an 80's girl, so this wall advertising for Tops, a laundering and dry cleaning place, brought back happy memories of those glamorous times.

The illustration is exactly that style. However, out here in the Midwest, TOPS stands for Take Off Pounds Sensibly, a reputable weight loss and exercise business. That's what I thought of when I saw the thumbnail.

I'm not a 20's boy but your post makes me think of the 1920's fashion and my mother.

Thanks everyone! Strangetastes, one man's/woman's weight loss program is another's dry cleaners! Deslilas, I think Nagel was inspired by the Art Deco period. Brent, good memory! I was and am a big Duran Duran fan. There I said it. Nagel did the cover for the album "Rio".
