6th Ave. Dog Park
I didn't realize that dog parks were something that some other towns didn't have until recently. We took our dog on a trip. At our destination (a small-ish town in central California), I asked local dog walkers where dog park was. I was met with strange looks, confusion, and crinkled noses.
For those of you doing the same, a dog park is where they've fenced off a portion of a park, so you can let your dog run free & socialize with other dogs.
In San Diego, dog parks are very common. It seems each area has their own, and dog owners frequent different ones for different reasons (this one is more hilly, that one is bigger or smaller, or close to the beach, etc.). We're a pretty dog friendly town!

We have lots of dog parks here in Portland. This is a cute pic!
We have dog parks in Nashville, too. My dogs are quite funny, though. When I take them to a dog park, they spend more time trying to get the other owners to pet them than the time the spend playing with the other dogs. What hams!!
In Michigan "dog parks" are not popular...They have a couple of private ones that you have to join (like a gym) and pay a hefty fee!
Thankfully in Florida, we have a dog park and a dog beach very close to our place.
is that your dog going for the tennis ball? what's the dog's name?
My friend in Ohio was very involved in organising the Bark Park in her city, which is very popular. In France, people seem very dog friendly so there's no problem - dogs can go into many restaurants as well.
Cute dog in your photo and nice angle.
Yes, Jilly, dogs in restaurants... I have quite a problem with that.
Great photo! Your dog seems to be getting a lot of love lately - lucky girl or guy!
yep - that's our dog. Her name is Sangria. She was actually just coming to me, not the ball (she's not interested in balls at the park - just people & dogs), but I tried to make it look like she was. ;-)
