North Park Pub Food

Expat takes us along for a bite with this yummy photo & description.
T
his is what you get when you order pub-style fish 'n' chips at Jayne's Gastropub (30th & Adams). Three perfect strips of fresh sea bass, skinny french fries, two sauces and very interesting garlicky snap peas.
Not forgetting the obligatory pint of ale -- advertised as "draft" but, as you see, actually fresh from the can!

Looks delicious and quite filling. I'd like to try this place. Did you eat the fish & chips or was this the Mrs'? I see another plate on the table (with peas, chicken, or BBQ?) that looks appetizing as well.

Gayle and I both had the F 'n' C. The other dish was our friend's ribs (well, not our friend's actual RIBS, hur-hur -- the beef ribs she ordered). She proclaimed them excellent but took at least half the portion away in a doggy bag. We all shared a lavendar-flavoured crème brulée, yummmm...

Tonight we're heading for the new Wine Steals wine bar down at what was the Naval Training Center.
