A song for you?

Many Mexican food restaurants here sometimes have a mariachi band strolling around asking if you'd like to have a song played. It is a genuine touristy thing to do, but it is so much fun! This photo was taken at the Casa de Reyes restaurant in Plaza del Pasado in Old Town. Can you guess what song was being played for these kids?

Felicia,One of my real passions in life is a sumptuous meal with a mariachi band strolling by. You've got me smiling.

My favourite is "La Llorona" (the weeping woman). I heard it last week in the background of a fine meal in the dining room of Las Rocas hotel.

Thanks Steve & Expat. I like the feeling of being serenaded - even if the musicians aren't standing at my table! When I realized the song being played to these girls was "It's a Small World", I had to groan and smile.

I don't care if it's touristy or not. Mariachi bands are wonderful when played well!!
