I love studying maps and figuring out where to go. Since I've never shown the lay of the land here, I thought I'd show this small overview of the southern part of San Diego county and San Diego Bay. There is more to the north... Within San Diego county the population is probably over 3 million people.

Well, don't be fooled by the apparent curvature of the earth, just drawn in for effect. San Diego Bay is fairly big, yes, but only 8 nautical miles long.
