Stompin' at the Deli
We start summer early here in San Diego...here is a photo and info on a local happening from Stu.
On summer Sunday afternoons, perennially barefoot music and beer lovers get together at "The deli" by the Quivira yacht basin, or to give it its official name, the Mission Bay Deli & Jake's Tiki Bar.
The place allows dancing -- the more inept, the better, it sometimes seems -- and attracts an improbable mixture of yachties, kayakkers, bikers, and Ocean Beach barflies. Dress code: as little as you can get away with. The over-forties outnumber the spring chickens by a long, long way -- this is not the MTV hangout. In the photo, the Charles Burton Blues Band is making noise in the foreground as draft beers are being poured in the background just as fast as the servers can make it happen. Burgers and dawgs are on sale, too.

That sounds like a nice evening. I wouldn't consider people in their 40's old, maybe middle aged, but not old.
DEFINITELY not old. We've been going to the Deli musical afternoons for maybe 8 years -- it's kinda fun, when the season starts on Memorial Day, to see all the same people one year older.
Aged? I'll get there when in San Diego!
Yeah, old people really know how to party huh? Just kidding, I'm getting up there myself.
