San Diego River at Mission Gorge
The San Diego River has been known as "California's First River" (whatever that means!), and travels 52 miles, starting northwest of the town of Julian in the mountains, going through a reservoir (El Capitan), and ending at the Pacific Ocean in Ocean Beach (at dog beach).
Although there are many beautiful vantage points of this river along the way, this is one that I sneak a peak at each time I'm driving down Mission Gorge - and every time I think, "wow, that sure is neat. I need to get a photo of that!" (there are several other points where I have the same thought, and I'll get those captured too!)
Rest assured, there's no swimming in this river - it doesn't rain here enough to clear out the "gunk" from the water. But if it was clean, wouldn't it be nice to take a dip?

It is gorgeous and too bad we can't swim in it! I'm always surprised to see the river when I'm shopping in Mission Valley. P.S.: I have my fingers crossed for you!
What a beautiful scenery!
You should check out Mission Trails Regional Park. I love it there. So much great kodak moments. It's a plus for me because I love rock climbing. I'm going to write about it soon.

Nice picture of the river by the way!
I want the fishes of that river, not to swim
Beautiful shot, looks like a perfect place for fishing and for having some alone time.
