Strawberry Fields Forever

Strawberry fields abound near the water in North County San Diego. There are a few that you can come in and pick your own, but most of the farms' strawberries are picked by migratory workers. I've never had a sweeter, tastier fruit than the sun-warmed, just-picked strawbs from these seaside farms.

We went to a U-Pick strawberry farm a few weeks ago, too! We were so busy picking and eating them that we forgot to take the rows of strawberries like your photo. Fortunately, we did do a bunch of close-ups.
