Geisel Library, UCSD

Back when I was a kid, Geisel Library was a marvel - it was new, and it was a funky space ship shape - it was just plain cool. These days it seems like its old hat for the students - too bad. I still think it's pretty darn cool. I'm surprised it hasn't been used more in films like Men In Black - maybe we should make a suggestion?

Another shot here.

The building looks pretty cool to me.

I like the contrast of the hard, cool lines against the soft flowers.

Somebody had fun designing that building. Very interesting angle you used to introduce the building.

Interesting. I like how the flowers are in focus and the building is not.

Today is my 100th post! Please stop by. Thanks.

I can still remember literally gasping in amazement when I first came across that building. That was before I came to call San Diego home --- oooohhhh, perhaps 30 years ago!

Cool perspective Alex! This building is the only thing I remember from my first visit to UCSD. Here's a link about the library's urban legends - including what ads, shows, and films that the library has been featured in (not that many).
