A public mailbox - Theme Day

It was fun to drop a letter into this R2D2 mailbox and this is part of a campaign by the US Postal Service to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars. On May 25th the postal service will release 15 Star Wars postal stamps and you can vote for your favorite. I vote for Yoda. Click on a city below to see other public mailboxes around the world.

The invasion continues ... I remember going to the original release of Star Wars. It was a movie experience which will stay fresh in my memory forever.

My R2D2 says hi to your R2D2. Mine was shivering in the rain. Looks like yours is enjoying soaking up some sun.

I bet the kids love these mailboxes! I've seen another one somewhere else, but this one looks like it's ready to take off for another planet. Good shot, thank you for doing the theme.

I wondered if you'd post a photo of this! Is this the Hotel Circle one? I've found (and photographed) the other two- Downtown and by Mission Valley Shopping center, but I didn't make it over to the one at Hotel Circle yet.

And on a side note, I hope you're doing well. I've been pretty busy so I haven't been able to visit regularly, but I love seeing all your photos when I have time to catch up:)
