De Anza Cove at sunset
Below the palm trees in this photo there is a battle going on to save the mobile home park at De Anza Cove. The mobile home park's lease expired a few years ago and the disputed land would be turned over to the city which doesn't allow for permanent residences. De Anza Cove is part of Mission Bay Park - click here to see a panoramic sunset photo.

Beautiful colours.
Forgive me Felicia if I'm repeating myself, but I think San Diego is one of the most beautiful cities in the States! You are very lucky...I would move there in a heartbeat if I could afford it;-)
I can feel my heart-rate dropping and all anxiety is leaving my body....this is beautiful!
This sunset shot is sensational!
I hope the sun never sets on the mobile home park. Everybody needs to live somewhere. Are the authorities looking to relocate the park at least? Or shut it down for good?
Such a perfect sunset, such a dramatic sky, such a quiet evening, and yet this battle behind the scenes... you've created the perfect start to a thrilling novel!
reminds me of the islands - why would the city want to do away with the mobile home park?
I have pictures of my daughter (somewhere!) playing at Mission Bay Park as a toddler. . . This photo is lovely. I'm sorry to hear of the troubles for the residents of the trailer park. No doubt many of them elderly. . .

Thank you all for stopping by! Many residents (you're right Kim, most of them are elderly) don't want to move and some have sued to have the city review the impact of their relocation and costs to find a new place to live. From what I gather the case is still stuck in court.
Wow! Nice shot!
