For the last few weeks we've been waiting for one of our neighbors to put up their Christmas lights. Father and son work together in order to cover the house in lights. I think it is a gradual process of adding more and more things each day. The tree pictured here is one of my favorite pieces in their collection. The "circles" that form the tree are made from pie tins. They also have a Santa and a Snoopy that sit on top of their RV.

Undoubtedly the best christmas lights in town are at the top of Garrison Street in Point Loma, the last block before Chatsworth Blvd. The Portuguese familes there vie with one another to make the best displays. It's like fairy-land out there (but watch out for the traffic, it's famous for making drivers lose their concentration!)

Hey Felicia! Great shot! Love the lights! And hmmmmmmmmm...wonder if those were Marie Callendar tins! I could make an entire tree if I used all the tins I've seen as a kid! LOL! ;-)
