Fish taco

Rubio's is a chain restaurant that was founded in San Diego and specializes in fish tacos. The founder of Rubio's got the idea to sell fish tacos after first tasting them in Baja California, Mexico (just south of San Diego). Above is their World Famous Baja Fish Taco, a bargin lunch at $1.69. By the way, that is cabbage not lettuce on the taco.

Hi Felicia! YUMYUMYUMYUMMMMMMM! We have a Rubio's here in our mall's foodcourt and that's the ONLY place I eat! One week I went crazy and had the "especial" three lunches in a row, LOL! ;-)

And Lisi, my best childhood friend and her family live in El Cajon, small world!

Yum! Me gusta mucho los tacos pescado de Rubios. They are better than Seattle's "Taco Del Mar," which are good but not as good. Whatever that killer white sauce is they put in there completely MAKES the taco for me. I wish the fish didn't have to be battered and cooked the way it is, though. Fish tacos en Baja are just that, fish that's seared but not battered and fried or something. Must be a health code thing. The Rubios in Emeryville had a great "3 for" special.
