Cross at the Presidio

Anne's recent photo series of the church Calaruega (Manila Daily Photo) reminded me of this cross that was put up in 1913 on Presidio Hill by Spanish missionaries. The hill was the site of the first church of 21 churches in California that were established by the missionaires. The first church is called Mission San Diego de Alcalá and was established in 1769.
