View of downtown from Coronado

San Diego Bay is a great place for sailing because the waters are somewhat calm and the wind is good. This boat's name is Lady Luck and she is sailing in front of downtown San Diego and the Harbor Drive area. See another view of the Bay here.

I can vouch for the joys of sailing in the Big Bay, but it isn't necessarily a great place for novice sailors. There are places you don't go without making well-armed military lookouts nervous, and a feature at the north end called Ballast Point that can cause very sudden wind reversals.
