Learning to swim
Can you tell that the poor thing is learning to swim? How did you learn to swim - lessons, getting thrown in, parents taught you, grew up near the water? I grew up near the water so it is hard for me to pinpoint how and when I actually learned to swim. A side note: when I was younger I was rescued from rip currents in the ocean twice - yikes!
I'm gone on vacation for the next few weeks. You will be seeing my photos as usual, but I won't be able to respond to comments or visit your sites. Hope you all are having a great summer!

Sweet face! Nice photo capture of paw splashes, too. I learned to swim through community pool lessons every summer, and my parents had a pool in our backyard. We went to the beach a lot, and I got caught in the "washing machine" a few times too many while body surfing. Never got caught in a rip tide, though. . .how scary for you! I ended up working as a life guard during college days. Lots of fun teaching kids to swim and snorkle and canoe! Hear from you when you return. Have a great time!

My parents decided to build a pool in the yard when I was a baby so they had me in Mommy and Me lessons at 9 months old.
I only remember the lessons when I reached the 4-5 year old mark. I was a bit afraid of the deep end. I started out with a private teacher coming to the house and then took group lessons each summer.
Have a great vacation Felicia!
Felicia - is that ur dog? its kewt - hope it learns to swim fast - I learned to swim when my father would take us to the ocean and throw us in the deep end - survival or die trying =P I probably would not teach my future kids in that manner though - theres lotsa good swim schools

My mum taught me to swim...ahh happy thoughts :)
oh oh oh...that's just wonderful!

Felicia, the splashing water and the dog's determination make a "story" photo.
