The local paper

Some cities have kiosks or newspaper stands where there is a person selling newspapers and magazines. Here most people have the newspaper delivered to their home or they buy them from a dispenser like this. The headline says San Diego got bumped to being America's 8th largest city - San Antonio is now #7. ...And congratulations to the 8 teams in the World Cup showdown: Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Ukraine.

Most people here also have the newspaper delivered to their home. This dispenser is interesting. BTW, I like football too and my favorite team are Argentina and Italy.

I actually was hoping Sweden would make it since I have friends from there but now that they are out I will have to cheer for Germany! I was going to photograph these 7 or 8 paper dispensers yesterday but decided not to, they were in different colors - red green yellow blue - very colorful.

For us it's still mostly sold from Kiosk, I rarely see dispensers like this around.

Though I haven't been in SD for 2 years, I hadn't noticed the absence of these dispensers. Papers in AUS are sold at a "news agent."
