Cesar Chavez Day @ Chicano Park
Today is an official state holiday (only in Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin) in order to honor Cesar Chavez the late Latino labor leader and founder of the United Farm Workers of America. Here are pictures of Chicano Park, a gathering place for past and present protests for Latino/Chicano rights.The murals are done on the concrete supports of the freeway.
