Duke's Drive-In Liquor

At Duke's Liquor on El Cajon Blvd and 70th, their sign says "drive-in", but you do have to get out of your car. Their sign doesn't light up any more because the person in the store said it broke down a lot and it was too expensive to fix. I was reading online about liquor stores in other places that really do have a drive-through window and they seem to be a bit controversial. What do you think?

I'm an enthusiast for liquor, but I think drive-throughs in general are really lazy, I don't use them personally.

What a great photo! It makes me think of home. It's the kind of place I would have made my little brother go in with me.

Yes, we have liquor stores built like barns. Not much to look at but you drive in one end and out the other with a case of beer or whatever.

They have them here, but not in my county. My county has only ONE liquor store (package store). You can buy beer and wine at the grocery stores, but not liquor, which has to be purchased at our one and only liquor store, lol. Strange huh? The liquor store is old too. Wonder why no one can open another one? Alcohol is very controversial here and in the town over, there is a LBTD law. You can't buy "liquor by the drink" in any restaurants, only beer and wine. Good ol boy politics!
